I don't know anything about the Garmin generations, but it looks like an early version. Quick fit fasteners are plastic, there are no tabs in the belt belt that lock in the holes (and they are already in orange), so they slide down and the end of the dangle strip. The buckle is metal and a little different from the one in the Orange Belt, because it presses my hand more. Of the two I bought for comparison, I chose orange.
